A pioneer in organic medicinal herb cultivation
Informations
Agrokarpaty, s.r.o. Plavnica is one of Slovakia’s most significant growers of medicinal herbs and ranks among the largest herb producers in Europe, specializing in high-quality tea and herbs. Since its founding in 1993, the company has operated in the unique mountain region of Pieniny and Magura beneath the High Tatras — an ecologically pristine environment ideal for cultivating natural agricultural products through responsible organic farming and principles of green farming.
The company follows the philosophy of “from field to table.” Agrokarpaty oversees the entire production cycle — from organic farming, cultivation and drying to cutting, blending, and final packaging. This full control allows the company to develop not only herbal teas, but also natural flower remedies and carefully balanced blends made from selected medicinal herbs. Thanks to its own logistics network, the products reach stores in consistently top quality.
Organic farming lies at the heart of the company’s operations and is closely connected to long-term sustainability and green farming practices. Medicinal plants come from ecologically unburdened areas, as do herbs and forest fruits harvested from the wild. All products are pure, free from artificial flavors, colors, or aromas, making them naturally well-accepted by the human body and positioning them as a form of premium tea and herbal care. Leading phytotherapy experts from Slovakia, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine contribute to the creation of the tea blends.
Their assortment includes herbal teas that support overall well-being and natural bodily functions, fruit teas rich in vitamins and refreshing flavor, and exotic teas that expand the range with global specialties such as green tea, Georgian black tea, and Rooibos. Together, these produc
Our mission is to promote Slovak manufacturers and service providers. We show that buying Slovak products makes sense, that they provide quality, a good price and value. We present the essence of Slovak manufacturing through the story of the production process. The main ambition is to help products penetrate other markets abroad.
We use our communication channels and videos to show how products are made and of what kind of quality in Slovakia. In our project, we focus on Slovak quality, competitiveness and the export potential of domestic products. We support a broad spectrum of producers, from iconic favourites like Chrumky and Horalky, through beverages, wine and beer, to innovative products and traditional Slovak products, such as the fujara and bryndza cheese.
